Statement of Faith

PaceSetter Ministries adheres to the following doctrinal position:

   The Bible, the Word of God, in its divine verbal, plenary inspiration, is inerrant and infallible in the original languages; and it is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

   One God, Creator and Lord of the universe, eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

   God the Son, Jesus Christ, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary, atoning death on the cross, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven, where as truly God and truly man, He is the only mediator between God and man.

   The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He regenerates and unites individuals to Christ and seals them for eternity. Every believer is called to live and walk in the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit so that he will mature and bear fruit to the glory of God.

   All people are lost sinners and cannot enter the Kingdom of God, except through the New Birth which takes place through repentance of sin and faith in God. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone.

   Jesus Christ is the head of the church, which is made up of all believers. The local church is made up of baptized believers, united in worshipping God, preaching the Gospel, discipling new believers, and demonstrating Christ-like character by obedience and compassionate service.

   The enemy and accuser of every believer, Satan, seeks to thwart God's purposes for the church, deceiving and discouraging the saints, and hindering their obedience to Christ.

   The visible, personal, premillenial return of Christ in glory will bring salvation and judgment to completion. God will fully manifest His Kingdom when He establishes a new heaven and new earth, in which He will be glorified forever and will exclude all evil, suffering, and death.
